I really like the new Facebook messaging platform where IM and email are all the same, it really helps speed up communication.

I was hoping there was something out there similar that we could use here at work. Outlook with it's email and cal are okay, but it's missing the whole "instant" thing. iPhone/Android apps with "push" notifications would be an awesome plus as well.

It'd be nice if we could get a cross of the Facebook messaging with an integrated calendar like exchange.

Anybody know of anything like this?

If you want to stick with the Microsoft stack, check out Lync. You could also just go with Google Apps. Yet another possibility is Zimbra which has many of the Exchange / Lync features.

Something that has the outlook style email + calendars and Instant Messaging + Iphone/Android app is FocalScope. It works exceptionally well if you want to have full realtime communication and retain calendars, emails and gain ticketing functionality. Their site is at www.focalscope.com
