We currently have SharePoint 2010 installed in an Active Directory domain and our users are in the same domain. For integration with other systems, we are currently limited to using NTLM authentication in our installation.
Due to the current configuration of our overall identity management systems, it would be preferable to change this so that our users authenticate via LDAP against a Novell eDirectory server.
Is there any compelling reason why this would be a bad idea?
