We have a new SQL 2008 R2 cluster on Windows 2008 R2 that is active/passive. We restored the large db to the sql instance to start testing and it choked on the integrity check and failed the db instance. Now the db instance won't come back up on any resource, and the resource drive that contains that db is failing.

Any idea how we can get the SQL instance back up, so we can overwrite that db with a (hopefully) more stable copy?

"resource drive that contains that db is failing" seems like fixing this may fix a lot of other issues, so I'd start with this. – tony roth Sep 20 '11 at 14:04
Yep, that fixed it! We bounced the whole thing and removed that resource and now I can at least get into the instance. Sheesh. – Valkyrie Sep 20 '11 at 14:09
