We have

  1. DELL R710 with Broadcom NetExtreme II 5709 card.

  2. EMC Celerra NX4

Broadcom card is configured property to use specific LUN on EMC SAN (we use VLANs). We can clearly see that it finds the iscsi target prior to VMWARE installation start.

When ESXi installer starts, it gives a message "Unable to find a supported devide to write the VMWARE ESXi 4.1 image."

Broadcom was flashed to the latest ROM. We're using latest DELL distribution VMWARE CD (A04).

What are we missing?
