Today I found the server turned off again. When I did power on, it continued to update after the boot.

I have to find the reason and fix it or I will turn automatic updates off. I'm not sure is there any relation between this error & hyper-v. Or can I disable restarts?

On a side note: I don't know any sys admins that have automatic updates on their servers... – GregD Sep 23 '11 at 16:22
What server shut down? What has Hyper-V installed? Are there GPO or local policies affecting the box? – Chris S Sep 23 '11 at 16:23
Hyper-V Core as host, Windows Server 2008 as guest. Windows Server shut downs instead of restart. I have to start the virtual machine manually -when I notice-. There is nothing special. I have disabled automatic installs. – Nime Cloud Sep 26 '11 at 11:40
