I have a 3G router that has a 1 usb port (for the usb modem) and a 1 ethernet lan port (to my machine). Currently I have this setup, my machine is connected to that router via the ethernet lan port and my source of internet is a usb modem. My pc can connect to internet and also my laptop via wireless connection. Now my problem is how can I use my router if I'm going to change my internet connect, preferably DSL. To solve my problem initially, i brought a piece of device to invert LAN to USB (USB to LAN Adapter made in China). The problem is the device need to have a driver to work but i'm going to connect this adapter to my modem and it turns out not working. Any advises how can I solve my problem. T.I.A

I don't believe there is any way you are going to get this to work by using a usb converter.

Some 3G routers have a WAN port, that you could use with DSL, but failing that, you are going to have to purchase an ADSL router.

Ok, still it's not hopeless for me to leave my 3g router I can still use it for emergency purpose. – Rob Sep 27 '11 at 2:01
