We have a system comprised of approximately 5 Win 2k3 servers and 6 clients running a graphics front end (which is pretty demanding, its like a video game).
We have been tasked with looking into migrating everything into 1 rack, so we've virtualised the servers onto VMwares vSphere (esx) platform and the managment are keen to see the clients replaced with PCoIP zero clients...for some reason.
We have been exploring CLearCube blades that are then managed by vmWare View with the hope that we will one day be able to virtualise the clients so it wont be a 1:1 PCoIP card to Zero Client.
Is there a better way? We need the graphics rendering to be quick and cost efficient, and there doesnt seem to be much of a better choice out there. Any suggestions would really be appreciated!
Note: We cannot use freeware or GNU products, basically it needs to be an industry recognised product suite solution.
