I was wondering why the supposed stack Windows, Apache, PostegreSQL and Tomcat does not exist?
I don't work with PostgreSQL or Tomcat, so I am not sure if I have the details right?
What stack would usually be associated with these?

As regards the stack, if you wanted to develop a Java web application using Postgres as the back-end, this would be a reasonable stack to use. I don't imagine there's any fundamental reason why it doesn't exist a a pre packaged bundle but it's likely to simply be a case of popularity. PostgreSQL didn't have a native windows version until relatively recently (maybe 3 years ago) and this probably held its adoption back a little on the windows platform while MySQL was available on Windows for many years prior to that. | |||
