Has anyone successfully configured networking on Debian Squeeze using a QLE8152?

We have a QLE8152 (10Gbps Converged Network Adapter) that we'd like to drop into a Linux system (Debian 6.0.1), but it looks as QLogic only supports RHEL and Novell.

We don't need to do LACP, SLB, or even fiber from this host, we just need a single, reliable 10Gbps NIC to show up and be configurable.

Have you tried it, or looking to check compatibility before purchase? CNAs act as two different devices, an HBA and a NIC, so stock QLogic drivers that're present for their other devices might work just fine. –  Shane Madden Sep 29 '11 at 18:55

Do they provide the source code for the driver? A Google search seems to indicate that uses the qla2xxx module which is present on a stock Debian 6 kernel. No idea if that actually works though. –  Zoredache Sep 29 '11 at 19:35

@Zoredache No source code, but I did see the qla2xxx driver so we'll give that a whirl first. –  orbitron Sep 29 '11 at 21:40

@orbitron, did you solve this question? I have the same problem –  Mike Pennington Nov 18 '11 at 2:19

@MikePennington sorry for the late reply, RHEL 6.1 was the only distro we could find with everything supported (CNA, bond QLE8152 ports). –  orbitron Dec 8 '11 at 22:25
