There are any number of tutorials available that can assist you with this installation Matthewj – DKNUCKLES Oct 14 '11 at 18:15
Ive been searching tutorials all day, and yes in deed there is a lot of them none of them work for me – Matthewj Oct 14 '11 at 18:25
It would be much more constructive and make it easier for people to assist you if you outlined the specific problem(s) you're having. – DKNUCKLES Oct 14 '11 at 18:27
Do you want to start a separate X11 session for VNC serving, or do you want to see the console session? – Zoredache Oct 14 '11 at 18:33

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. For help clarifying this question so that it can be reopened, see the FAQ.

apt-cache search vnc , look for the vnc server package name, then apt-get install – iainlbc Oct 14 '11 at 18:32
@Matthewj It's there. Or you don't have Ubuntu: packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=vnc4server – mailq Oct 14 '11 at 18:33
You probably need to update your repositories (/etc/apt/sources.list). I couldn't tell you which ones you'll need though, it depends on which ubuntu version you are using. Google is your friend there, the ubuntu website itself has very comprehensive docs. – paulos Oct 14 '11 at 18:39
