Eventually I want to have something like http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Multi-WAN_using_VLANs_with_pfSense.

I have a "neufbox" all in one router/modem/wifi box (neuf is a french adsl provider) that currently works fine with my ubuntu 11.04 desktop ie I receive DHCP config on my connection called "Auto eth0" in connection manager.

For now I have bought a Draytek Vigor 120 ADSL modem. For testing I want to connect the same machine directly to it, get DHCP address browse internet etc.

But I can never get the DHCP to work, the eth0 connection just keeps looking for a connection. On the neufbox I get a connection within a couple of seconds, but never happens with the vigor.

I have confirmed that the DHCP server is enabled on the vigor, If i set a static ip address on the eth0 I can browse to the config page for the vigor. I can see that it is connected to the internet and can even do a traceroute via its web interface to google no problems.

Any clues?
