What are the tools/method to remotely access and maintain the Windows Server 2008. On Linux I am fine with the ssh, is the Remote Desktop the proper tool there?
Thanks a lot Regards, STeN

There is a lot, depends of the thing to manage, some software have web consoles, you even can install ssh on a Windows PC to connect to it. But by default windows comes with two tools: Remote Desktop and MMC.

An alternative to the Windows Remote Desktop Connection RDP client is a free third party client called Terminals. It allows for tabbed RDP session and much more. If you find yourself using Windows RDP client often it might be worthwhile to download and try out Terminals. | |||
