I have a client who is complaining of a slow connection to my web hosted CMS they say that it seems to be at certain times of day and that other sites run quickly.

I test the CMS at the times they say it is running slow and it runs at an acceptable speed for me.

Any suggestions on how to test whether the problem is at the local connection end or at the server end?

ps: the server is a Microsoft server running MSQL2008

update 1 Host is Arvixe, CMS is Umbraco 4.7, ASP.Net v4,

That is all i know but could try finding out more from the host. I am really looking for suggestions or techniques to help me debug whether this is a server issue or a local issue.

PPS: Which webserver? Which CMS? Which Micrsoft server operating syetem? OS virtualized? If you want to have an answer, you should go into details about your configuration. – f4m8 Oct 24 '11 at 7:49
