I need to install 32-bit NDIS driver onto 64-bit Windows 7 machine. Does it worth trying? (it seems so: NDIS operates with relatively low memory amounts, and - even - int64's are working on 32-bit too). Or will that Windows7 act cowardly and refuse to load the driver?

The actual problem is that I can't get a correct DDK version to produce working code; (up-to-date DDK refuses to work with NDIS 5.1 deprecated functions, older DDK does not include some header files - for my surprise, MS put the needed stuff into IFS DDK, and IFS DDK environment refuses to build AMD64 binaries). But that's for StackOverflow, going to ask there.

As a SysAdmin - I'd give it a shot anyway. However, I suspect you'll get more sensible answers specific to your situation at StackOverflow. I'd also argue that you need to sort out the root cause of your problem, rather than hack around it. – Dan Oct 31 '11 at 13:37
