Two servers. Mac OSX Snow Leopard, and a PC with Windows 7 as Server.

Either way, when the Mac attempts to add files to a shared windows folder, the data is sometimes corrupted and can't be read. Either windows claims the Data is empty, or the Mac claims it cannot read the data.

As an example we're transferring PNG images in Windows into the shared folder on the server. The Mac can see the files, and even show a preview thumbnail of the PNG image. But when opening it, it says: "The file .... could not be opened. It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn't recognize". Transferring the file with a USB stick reveals it's perfectly fine on the Mac!

So it's definitely a file transfer protocol problem. How to resolve this?
