I have installed WAMP server & outside world cannot see it. I can access the pages in the local host I have a public IP address. How the outside world can view the pages in my web server? It is not behind a firewall. my system is a machine at home.

when ever some one tries to access form the outside world then the output is

" Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at www.howlaebullay.com.

Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of www.example.com If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web..com.

Need more info. Is it behind a firewall? Are you on a corporate network or a machine at home? Does the outside world get some type of error message? Please be as thorough as possible when asking a question. – Jeffery Smith Nov 7 '11 at 17:02

DNS may not be set up. What happens if you do a lookup on your hostname? From a command line run:

nslookup www.howlaebullay.com

Does it return the IP address of the computer running WAMP? Can you ping the IP address of your machine from the outside world?

ping IPADDRESS

What if you temporarily disable any firewall you have configured? Are you using a router? If so you'll need to enable port forwarding on the router for the port that you're running apache on. See your router's admin interface/documentation on how to do this.
