I just upgraded our CRM 4.0 organization to 2011. Now I'm trying to import a solution but get the following error message:
One or more components in the solution already exist in your system as unmanaged components. Importing this solution will convert the components into managed components for this solution.
Based on my research, this means the current customizations are going to be rolled up into this managed solution. If I ever remove this managed solution, it will remove my current customizations.
I'm looking for best practices in this scenario. Before importing this managed solution, should I do something with the current customizations? Can I keep the current customizations separate from this solution?
