We have a Windows Server 2008 R2 box where we are trying to install the HyperV agent components. When running:
msiexec /i vmmAgent.msi
We get the follwing error:
The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.
This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows
Installer is not correctly installed.
Attempted Fixes:
Microsoft KB's 315353,324516,315346
sfc /scannow
Resulted with: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations
Tried to use Dial-A-Fix but glu32.dll is not installed on the system
