Does any one knows a way to configure a cisco router with multiple gateways - multiple gateways of last resort?
I've tried adding a gateway of last resort twice (with different metric) but only one is shown:
Router(config)# ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 220.127.116.11 10 Router(config)# ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 18.104.22.168 100
And the show ip route output was:
Router# show ip route Gateway of last resort is 22.214.171.124 to network 0.0.0.0 126.96.36.199/24 is subnetted, 1 subnets C 188.8.131.52 is directly connected, FastEthernet0/0 184.108.40.206/24 is subnetted, 1 subnets C 220.127.116.11 is directly connected, FastEthernet0/1 18.104.22.168/30 is subnetted, 1 subnets C 22.214.171.124 is directly connected, Serial0/2/0 S* 0.0.0.0/0 [10/0] via 126.96.36.199
The point is that i cannot see the other route with higher distance metric?
Anyone has a sugestion?
I mean will this config work if the link on 188.8.131.52 fails? Will the router choose the other network 184.108.40.206, if the link 220.127.116.11 fails?
