Today my vps hosting got very slow so I started to investigate the reason. The only thing I could find is that the numfile parameter is in red zone for some reason? Can anyone please tell what this means and what problems could it cause?

I'm not sure, but it can be related to number of open files. Try to adjust your limits.conf –  rvs Dec 3 '11 at 18:11
Where can I find that file? –  Levani Dec 3 '11 at 18:17
/etc/securily/limits.conf –  rvs Dec 3 '11 at 18:34
There is no 'security' folder in etc... –  Levani Dec 3 '11 at 18:43
Hmm, what OS installed on your vps? –  rvs Dec 3 '11 at 19:26
