I have a client that has multiple users that are experiencing this issue. Certain Outlook calendar events duplicate themselves over and over as many as 50 times before stopping. The duplication occurs irregularly over a period of several hours. Users have told me that this happens occasionally when an event is created by accepting a meeting request.
They are running Exchange 2007 on a Windows Small Business Server 2008 server.
They have a third party calendaring server application called Time Matters (v10.0) that runs on a Hyper-V virtual server hosted by the SBS server (I know that this configuration is “not supported”)
It seems that all of the users experiencing this issue have an iPhone or iPad connected to their exchange account.
I have been thus far unable to recreate the duplication with test meeting requests or catch an event while the duplication is occurring so I have not been able to eliminate possible suspects by removing them from the loop while duplication is occuring.
