What do you guys recommend for a 512MB linode vps? I am hosting a user-driven content upload web site which is powered by wordpress. It's a new site so what do you recommend for my.cnf and php.ini settings? (I am using nginx as a web server and php5-fpm also). I need to optimize mysql and php settings. I looked at web but there are lots of settings which are very different from each other so I am confused.

Really whatever the disco's default configuration is should suffice. 512mb is more then enough I would think. – Tim Dec 7 '11 at 2:32
You can start with the default settings and then optimize and upgrade as needed. Do you expect a high traffic/users count? – Khaled Dec 7 '11 at 20:00
