Has anyone been able to install LuaJIT v2 on FreeBSD AMD64(x64) without using Gmake (just freebsd-make)?

If so how?

When I attempt to use freebsd-make, LuaJIT doesn't build.

If you install gmake. then you can compile it with gmake. Otherwise you'll have to modify the makefiles for freebsd's make. –  Matt Jul 9 '12 at 2:05

Don't multipost your question on different stackexchange sites.

Try deleting this from Makefile; it's GNU-proprietary syntax, and doesn't apply to FreeBSD:

ifeq (,$(findstring Windows,$(OS))) ifeq (Darwin,$(shell uname -s)) INSTALL_SONAME= $(INSTALL_DYLIBNAME) INSTALL_SHORT1= $(INSTALL_LIB)/$(INSTALL_DYLIBSHORT1) INSTALL_SHORT2= $(INSTALL_LIB)/$(INSTALL_DYLIBSHORT2) LDCONFIG= : endif endif

BTW, I'm using NetBSD, Clang (default compiler in FreeBSD 11, instead of GCC), and MC-linker (instead of GNU binutils).
