Is it possible to set a client IP in pppd scripts (e.g. in auth-up) ?

The reason is, we would like to give different IP address ranges to connecting peers based on their username prefix.

@OlivierS: it seems the format of the file is restricting. e.g. I can put a full username or a * but I want to change IP according to part of the username (a special prefix in our case) – Alex Dec 27 '11 at 8:30
