Like many people, I have numerous old modems, wireless routers and cell phones and I am trying to come up with a cool project to do with this stuff. I mainly do web programming and server administration so I was hoping to use this as a project to learn more about network programming or maybe systems programming.
One idea I had was to extract the camera's out of the old cell phones and create my surveillance system or maybe attach the camera to my bike helmet to take pictures while riding.
What are some other cool project ideas to reuse and hack some of this old electronic gear?
