Have a strange problem.

We have a XP SP3 computer that connects remotely to our server 2008. All of a sudden users are unable to log in. Looking at Event Viewer I am getting errors with source LSASRV ID 40961 and 40960 with messages "The Security System could not establish a secured connection with the server, No authentication protocol was available"

I have tried to remove the system from the domain and re-added it back and checked the DNS settings. I am able to see the machine as I can log in with a local account. Just network users can not.

When you write that it "connects remotely to our server 2008", you mean that the XP and the domain users authenticates against a windows 2008 domain controller? If so, check the netlogon.log and the security log on the Domain Controller, search for the name of the xp computer account – Mathias R. Jessen Jan 4 at 15:34
