We recently went through a buyout of our company. As a result our Infrastructure folks recently migrated all of our users over to a new domain. Needless to say this has created a multitude of errors within every server on our network.
My issue is with our Sharepoint server. All of my users were abc-domain\username and they lost all of their permissions to the different sites that they had access to. I was able to go in and add xyz-domain\all users with read rights to the root site so they would have read access to the site collection but have had to go in and replicate permissions for their individual sites before they could have their old level of access back.
My main issue now is that quite a bit of my content has disappeared from the search results. When I look at my search log I see this:
Error in the Site Data Web Service. (Value does not fall within the expected range.)
Am I dealing with a bunch of corrupt SID’s? I have changed the search account to the new xyz-domain\service account that was migrated over to the new domain but still have the error.
We are running SP 2007 SP1 (12.0.0.6219) and SQL Server 2005 SP2 on Windows Server 2003 SP2.
