I just tried to install Etherpad on our server but found that it requires to run as a dedicated service. Our webserver is just an ordinary hosting service however which can only run scripts (the usual LAMP thing). Is there another way to run Etherpad or is there an Etherpad alternative that runs almost real-time on an ordinary web host?
