I have a system x-3550 that won't start. It is in the process of being rebuilt as an Exchange server, so it wasn't in production yet, and while I was on leave it got turned off (properly I might add, the guy who did it logged in and shut it down) When I turned it back on to continue the process I got some POST errors in the log saying that it couldn't get the system config from the IMM.
A quick google led to a couple of sites that suggested turning the server off and removing it from the power for a couple of minutes and then trying again. I did this and now it won't power on at all. When the power cables are plugged in the power button lights up but pressing the button doesn't do anything. Also the lights on the lightpath panel that usually display a two digit number if there is a problem are just flashing quickly in a strange figure 8 pattern.
Does anyone have any suggestions for anything I might try before I have to call in IBM support?
