I just got a new dedicated Windows Server 2008 R2 from godaddy. And I have an issue uploading files on the server through FTP and transfer between servers. The speed very slow 220kb/s.

I tried to contact Godaddy support and spent about 3 hours in total, and they could not resolve the issue. And at the end they just hang up on me.

Is there any settings on the server I can change to increase the speed? or at least to check to investigate where the problem can be?

changing settings on the server to fix this issue requires two things - knowing what the problem is and for it to be a problem with the server. I'd get back to godaddy and remind them that this is a service you're paying for and that you'll take your business elsewhere if it isn't fixed. – DJ Pon3 Jan 24 at 15:46
There are so many variables to this Anwser. How big is the pipe that feeds the server? What server software do you use. What disks are in the servers? FTP by nature is slow! – t1nt1n Jan 24 at 15:47

The best bet is to speak to GO-Daddy. Its there server. I think they would care. You pay them to rent the server. – t1nt1n Jan 24 at 15:49
