Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a VPS running Plesk 10 on Apache. Intended use-case is my websites plus using Plesk's reseller feature to host client sites.

I've never used nginx, but I understand it's quite trivial to set it up as a reverse proxy in front of Apache to handle requests for static assets.

Is there any way of doing this without affecting Plesk's ability to create new vhosts?

That question refers to hard-coding paths in nginx.conf - I'm looking for a drop-in solution that will apply to any vhosts created by myself or a reseller. –  Chris Cox Mar 9 '12 at 18:12
