Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I installed and and promoted a Windows Server 2008r2 server and now I am getting event id 408, 404, 407. I am not sure what is wrong with this thing but I have removed IPv6 from the settings not sure what else to do.

Check the listening IP at the properties of the DNS server. Where did you remove IPV6 from? From TCP/IP bindings?
