I am new to webserver configurations. I am provisioning the new server. Installed apache and Tomcat6 in my new server. Here I need to do proxypass from Apache to Tomcat using AJP. I did the search not able to find any post clearly. Can Any one guide me to achieve the Proxypass.

I am in Ubuntu 11.10 environment.

Thank you in advance.

This question came from our site for professional and enthusiast programmers.

Do you want to pass requests from your apache to your tomcat using ajp? Ajp and ModProxy are different solutions to the same problem. Using ajp see my other post –  Stefan Lindenberg Mar 14 '12 at 17:48
I would like to do proxypass through AJP. Also I seen your post and getting little bit difficulty, as you provided solution for Clustering. But I am not using clustering right now. Thank you. –  Arun Mar 15 '12 at 5:20
mod_proxy and mod_ajp cannot be combined in one single solution, you need to choose either use ajp or proxy. –  ghm1014 Mar 15 '12 at 14:18
I would like to use mod_ajp for better performance and more features like load balancing. –  Arun Mar 15 '12 at 15:01
So you need something like howtoforge.com/apache2_tomcat5_mod_jk_integration –  ghm1014 Mar 15 '12 at 15:27
