I have 3 Fortidrv miniport adapters (IP, IPv6, Network Monitor) that show up in my Device Manager on Windows 7 Home Premium pc with the yellow "!" icons. These devices are hold-overs from a Fortinet VPN setup I used to need for accessing a former employer's network. The device status message for all of these adapters is the same:
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
I am trying to get rid of these adapters because I don't need them anymore and I suspect that they are interfering with my attempt to install OpenVPN. However, when I try to uninstall them using the Device Manager, they won't go away.
What can I do to force the uninstall or diagnose this problem?
