I have a CentOS 6.2 server running a few KVM VMs, how can I prioritize one of them above the others?
virsh dumpxml vm > vm.xml
and then adding to vm.xml
<cputune> <shares>10240</shares> <period>100000</period> <quota>-1</quota> </cputune>
virsh define vm.xml
but it looks like nothing changed... Am I missing something? How could I check if my "cputune" is in effect?
I see that
/cgroup/cpu/libvirt/qemu/vm/cpu.shares contains 10240 as expected, while
/cgroup/cpu/libvirt/qemu/vm/vcpu0/cpu.shares contains 1024... Is this normal?
