Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have an Apache server where I want to match on a bunch of specific URLs. If that Apache server doesn't have the file being looked for, than I want to pass the request off to a proxy instead of just 404ing.

Any ideas on how to make this happen?

Sure, it's workable. Can you provide info on how you have things configured currently, so that answers will make sense for your current config? –  Shane Madden Apr 19 '12 at 4:39

We basically have a lot of Alias that map to existing scripts and pages, and we want all urls that don't match any of those to be passed off to another server through something like ProxyPass –  Reed Apr 19 '12 at 4:52
