Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm hosting a lot of domains which nameservers are set to ns1.domain1.com and ns2.domain1.com. I have rented a new server which for I have set up ns1.domain2.com and ns2.domain2.com.

Is it possible to forward ns1.domain1.com and ns2.domain1.com to ns1.domain2.com and ns2.domain2.com? Or is it required to change nameservers for all the domains via registrars?

The hosting and the NS are independent services. Some of the domains can use ns*.domain1.com and the rest can use ns*.domain2.com. If you want to discard the ns*.domain2.com servers, then you have to change this in formation at the registrar.
