Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

My Windows 2003 server has an integrated ethernet card as well as a dlink card. Using "Configure your server wizard", I successfully created a VPN server.

The server IP is : 192.168.123.1 and 192.168.123.11

We also have other servers"

192.168.123.20(win2003)
192.168.123.21(win2003)
192.168.123.210(win2008)
192.168.123.250(win2008)

I have mapped the port on the router to 192.168.123.1. When a client connects he can access the internet via VPN. If he performs the following: ping 192.168.123.1 it is successful. However, when a client runs ping 192.168.123.250 and ping 192.168.123.21 the first ping times out but all others are successful.

Oddly, when the client runs ping 192.168.123.20 and ping 192.168.123.210 only the first packet gets a reply while the rest timeout. What could be the problem and how can I troubleshoot it?
