Would it be possible to run Webmin as a normal user(not root)?

I am running a trimmed down version of Webmin with few modules enabled but doesn't like the idea of it running as root. I know by default it's probably not possible, but can anyone suggest any workarounds?

What exactly are you trying to let the users do, on this stripped down version of webmin ? Doesn't Usermin satisfy you're needs ?

Modify calls of privileged commands to use sudo though the code, then carefully drill right holes in the sudo cheese.

Just make sure the unprivileged account of Webmin isn't shared with other hosted apps (this means a dedicated httpd instance).
