I was trying to decide what to pick for a project , redis or memcached and while collecting cons i saw something on redis page about mass-insert http://redis.io/topics/mass-insert , it looks like it's cli capable for that.

My question about memcached, we will need to load alot of data weekly to memory, it will be mostly read only. is there a way on memcached to load a lot of data (say billions of row) inside, and any comparison between them.
