I'm trying to setup a generic FTP on a Windows Server 2008 R2 that we can provides to many clients. My requirements:
- Use a single home path of the file system for this generic "dropbox"
- Use a single user/pass (e.g. username "dropbox" and some generic password)
- PREVENT view access to the remote FTP folder for all users in the FTP, so they can't see what anyone else uploaded there nor can they see their files. They only see the transfer in progress itself
Is it possible to setup this up? We currently have User Isolation FTP setup so I was thinking of leveraging that then just preventing read access to the "dropbox" user to that dropbox home folder. Is there another way? Does that even make sense?
