We moved offices but kept the same ISP. Our IPs changed of course. The new IP info is:

IPs: x.x.x.10-14
Mask: 255.255.255.248 (/29)
Gateway: x.x.x.9 

(seems weird that it's not 8, but ISP insists, and we do have internet access. Also, I tried plugging the server directly into a spare port on the modem, and assigning it the .11 IP and route and ip addr won't even allow me to use .9 for the gw)

Router is using .10 as WAN IP by the way.

I'm using basically the same NAT Alias (1:1 NAT) entry in our Syswan router that I was using at the old location just with the different WAN IP.

Local LAN IP: 192.168.1.220
Traffic Direction: Inbound
WAN IP: x.x.x.11
WAN & LAN Port Range 80 ~ 80
Protocol: All
WAN: WAN 1

Maybe I'm forgetting something in Apache or the Network config of the server? From inside the LAN I can browse to the site with the local or wan IP or dns name of the server. From outside, it times out.

Site is wordpress running on Apache2 in /srv/http port 80. I don't think I should need to change anything here.

The x.x.x.8/29 address is the network (all zeros) address. That wouldn't be a usable IP address for a router. That's why the the ISP put the router on x.x.x.9, which is the first valid host address in that subnet. –  Evan Anderson Jul 13 '12 at 20:54
    
Is this a new modem? If so, check to make sure it's firewall function is either turned off (assuming you're running a firewall on your router or elsewhere between the modem and your internal network) or that the modem firewall is configured appropriately. –  joeqwerty Jul 13 '12 at 21:00
    
It is a new modem, but it's not something I can get in to. Cable company swears everything is OK/pinging. –  tladuke Jul 13 '12 at 21:31
