Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Is there a way to find out what objects are in memory (or what processes are holding on to it). I have a server, where the "In Use" memory (in Resource Monitor) is showing 7GB, but the Memory (Private Working Set) in Task Manager only totals to about 2GB. Is there anyway to find out the 5GB difference?

I'm using Windows Server 2008.

Perfmon doesn't work for you? –  HopelessN00b Jul 25 '12 at 0:09
Try process explorer. –  SpacemanSpiff Jul 25 '12 at 0:15
