Is there a specific software for modeling IT infrastructure architectures? I am looking for something like pspice but specifically for IT infrastructure components. I know Microsoft had a tool like this for Exchange and AD modeling, any tool which is a little more generic would be great. Thanks in advance.

have you seen that commercial where they show your brain and then they show your brain on drugs (they show you a picture of scrambled eggs), well thats IT modeling for you... – tony roth Aug 2 '12 at 14:04
This isn't really the sort of question to post on serverfault... But most people use Visio for presentation material – Alex Berry Aug 2 '12 at 14:06
Never time bother to read the 'Previously asked questions' before blindly plodding on with a question that's been asked so many times before. – Chopper3 Aug 2 '12 at 14:08
Ermm... I am aware of Visio. What I required was something more of a simulation tool. @Chopper32: I did really go through the frequently asked questions. Simulation tools did not pop up. But thanks anyway for the 'helpful' response. – user1571328 Aug 2 '12 at 16:44
