I have CentOS 5.8 32bit with 1GB of guaranteed memory. With Burst memory I'm on 2GB.
I'm thinking of upgrading my guaranteed RAM to 2GB making my Burst 4GB. I know a 32 bit system can't (normally) handle more than ~3GB ram.
My question is: Is the max RAM including burst, still ~3GB?
If not: This means I can upgrade my system to a 2GB guaranteed ram with 4GB burst without exceeding the memory limit.
If so: I'm buying a new system installing 64but from scratch.
