Well, the title says all.

I want Tomcat to listen on a socket file since it's much cheaper than a network socket.
I'll proxy requests to Tomcat.

How do I tell a Connector to listen on a socket file?

Cheaper but perhaps slower. – Alfabravo Aug 16 '12 at 21:48
Pretty sure it's not possible. Are TCP connections through the loopback interface causing problems in some way? – Shane Madden Aug 17 '12 at 1:17
@ShaneMadden yes, they're TCP connections after all, with everything that comes with a TCP connection.. – Poni Aug 18 '12 at 0:37
@Poni With a round-trip time of nothing whatsoever, I'm pretty sure the overhead of a TCP connection is the least of your optimization problems. Are you under the impression that it's very resource intensive? – Shane Madden Aug 18 '12 at 7:26
