the transfer speed is 2147kb/s now

why peak speed in iftop is still 417kb?

i am just confused why iftop and wget's transfer status varied so much?

which value i should believe, and what is the real traffic speed right now?

Peaks will always vary as they can't be measured consistently by different tools. – scai Aug 24 '12 at 8:03
