I'm trying to set up a vagrant box and I'm running with all sort of troubles. Right now I'm getting a strange error message where it states there's a stack trace file with more info, but that file is no where to be found.

This is the error:

It appears to be a problem with the 'Symfony' recipe

You can't find the stacktrace because that file is on the vm rather than your host machine, to see the stacktrace you can do:

$ vagrant ssh
vagrant@yourvm:~$ tail -n 50 /tmp/vagrant-chef-1/chef-stacktrace.out

then

vagrant@yourvm:~$ exit

to get back to your host shell
