I have a java web based application based on Jboss 4.04 and Apache Tomcate server 6.06. We randomly get HTTP 500 Internal Server error, nothign is written in the Jboss or the Tomcat logs. What could be the cause?

Souds like a memory problem. Is it loaded with lots of apps? –  ansi_lumen Sep 20 '12 at 8:17
Nothing out of the ordinary, its a windows server and it's a dedicated server, with a fail over –  andreas Sep 20 '12 at 8:38
Eanble more verbose logging if you have the possibility for it. –  pkhamre Sep 20 '12 at 8:42
what kind of "fail over"? Maybe the fail over fails sometimes. By the way: Add more hardware info. Does it get better after a tomcat restart for a while? –  ansi_lumen Sep 20 '12 at 10:13
the issue is it doesn't crash... if the url is www.xyz.com/abc.faces and i get the http 500 internal server error, and press f5 or delete the abc.faces and go back to the original page (xyz.com) it's as if nothing happens but the system seems to be redirecting you to a specific page which is one of the pages of the system –  andreas Sep 20 '12 at 10:21
