My company has a security testing lab and we have tons of loose kit - laptops, specialist network equipment, disks, etc. It has become slightly problematic to keep tabs on what we have and who has it. I am looking for a suitable solution, perhaps something with barcodes and scanners.

Can the serverfault community point me to a suitable solution/software?
